He Became a South African Citizen 20 Years Ago. His Children Are Still Being Bullied for Being African. This Is the Crisis Nobody Is Solving.



 Peter Odike came from Nigeria. He built a life in South Africa. In 2006, he became a citizen  not a guest, not a visitor, a citizen. He thought that paper meant something. He thought it meant belonging.

Then his children started coming home from school with stories.

The passport didn't protect them. Nothing has.

Some Nigerians are dead and some have been beaten to the point of death.
